About Chris:
Chris Barbero began his journey into photography in 1969 thanks
to his father purchasing his first Nikkormat FTN camera with two
lenses. Chris's father, a pilot for Shell Oil had made
acquaintances with Shell Oil's professional photographers and
asked them to assist in mentioning Chris in his photography
efforts. They gladly accepted the challenge and
began offering input on the basics of photography. It all
started with photographing an egg. This allowed Chris to learn
the intricacies of natural and flash lighting along with
advanced depth of field (the focus area) techniques. One of the
most important things taught by Chris's mentors, was to see the
world through the viewfinder, don't take a photograph to see it.
Over the years Chris continued his love of photography shooting
photographs for his junior high school, and eventually being on
the photography staff for Memorial Sr. High School's yearbook
and newspaper. For over thirty years, Chris has traversed the
globe shooting various subjects including architectural,
portraiture, and fine art imagery to name a few subjects.
The technologies of photography and the equipment have made
significant changes over the years however, Chris still believes
the most important aspect of photography, is it's art, and the
eye of the beholder.
Chris would be honored to capture the art of your photography
needs.
